Wheat germ sandwich bread (60 g)

This bread makes a perfect lunch topped with a slice of cheese or other protein based topping for example ham or salami. The bread is made of 60 g of fresh wheat germ, 1 egg and 40 g of unsweetened AB milk / natural yogurt.

Ingredients:

  • 60 g wheat germ
  • 1 egg – I usually try to use a small egg that is no more than 50 g
  • 40 g AB milk / unsweetened natural yogurts
  • Baking powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp ground sesame

Everything is mixed together in a bowl and then placed on a greased multi-use baking sheet. I try to form the dough into a slice like form on the baking sheet so that it will resemble sliced bread as much as possible.

I bake the bread in a ca. 180°C warm oven for ca. 30-40 minutes. I slice the loaf into two halves when it comes out of the oven.
