Protein rich flours for low carb baking

I just want to point out which low carb flours I use for baking.

These are:

  • Soy flour
  • Sesame seeds flour / ground sesame
  • Fat reduced almond flour

The sesame flour is the richest in protein content and the fat reduced almond flour has the least amount of carbs. Please note that regular almond flour has a lot higher percentage of fat than this fat reduced almond flour from Funksionell, shown on the photos below. Both the sesame flour and the almond flour are higher in protein contents than the soy flour, both have also less carb and fat than the soy flour.

  • Carbohydrates…..10.8 g / sugar …10.8 g
  • Protein…….39.7 g
  • Fiber……..14.9 g
  • Salt………….0.2 g

Sesame flour nutrition in 100 g:

  • Engergy……….1697 kJ/405 kcal
  • Fat…………19 g /saturated…3 g
  • Carbohydrates…..6 g / sugar …0 g
  • Protein…….46 g
  • Fiber……..15 g
  • Salt………….0 g

Reduced fat almond flour nutrition I 100 g:

  • Engergy………..1318 kJ/315 kcal
  • Fat…………………..11 g / mettuð…1 g
  • Carbohydrates…..4 g / sykur …2 g
  • Protein……………40 g
  • Fiber……………….20 g
  • Salt…………………..0 g
